Welcome to us! About the workplace

The Planning Unit, consisting of eight employees, is part of the Community Development sector. The unit works with community planning in the form of programs, detailed and comprehensive planning, as well as GIS in close collaboration with other units. In addition to planning, the Community Development sector also includes land and exploitation, environment and building, water and sewage, property, parks and streets, as well as culture and leisure activities.

Your tasks

As a planning architect at Orust municipality, you will help shape the municipality's future development and design. Your work will involve driving and processing detailed plans where you will create the planning documents yourself, as well as handling detailed plans prepared by consultants. We work closely together in the unit with a lot of collaboration and knowledge exchange. Planning in the coming years will focus on center development and new residential areas, as well as the preservation and development of coastal communities. You will also be involved in strategic planning and development work. You will have contact with the public, businesses, and authorities, and work closely with politicians and other officials in the municipality. There is an opportunity to work part of the week from an office in Gothenburg, near Klippan's cultural reserve in Majorna.

About you

You are a trained architect, physical planner, or equivalent. You have a strong commitment and good knowledge of issues related to sustainable development and planning in natural and cultural environments. You should have at least a few years of experience in planning work, good knowledge of applicable legislation, be able to express yourself well in speech and writing, and have good pedagogical skills. Experience in municipal work, familiarity with Focus Detailed Plan, and good skills in the Adobe package are meritorious. You should be able to collaborate easily with others and create good relationships. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
